Abstract
Though the handicapped are a minority of the population, they deserve an equal opportunity to pursue a college career. Since some of them will require special assistance, colleges and universities must provide services to meet their needs. The programs and services offered for handicapped students at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) in Cedar Falls, Iowa will be presented. Assistance for handicapped students in vocational evaluation, vocational adjustment, and job placement will be illustrated. Similar programs and services may vary among other colleges and universities.
