Abstract
It is the intent of this study to find the current status of centralized libraries in the state of Iowa as it affects the majority (fifty-four per cent) of Iowa's school children. The purpose of the study is three-fold: (1) to determine the degree of centralization achieved by media programs at the elementary level, (2) to
determine the degree of unification of print and non-print materials in the elementary media program, and (3) to determine the types of personnel presently serving the centers.
