Although there is a difference of opinion in the number of educational institutions offering graduate and undergraduate programs in media, in the United States there are between 120 and 160 graduate and undergraduate degree programs in media according to Richard Nibeck (1982) Deputy Executive Director, Association for Educational Communications and Technology.
