Abstract
This research paper analyzes several key factors indicating success in the Latinx population and the barriers which result in lack of equal representation in higher education. The three categories of barriers discussed include federal and state policy, socioeconomic status and success indicators, and hiring bias and retention at postsecondary education institutions in the United States.
