Abstract

Peer advising programs support academic advising in higher education settings. The benefits of these programs are endless and contribute to the students', advisors', and institutions' overall academic and social success. It is important to understand the goals of academic advising and how peers can supplement those overarching goals. My research and presentation briefs and analyzes benefits of peer advising programs to further encourage institutions to implement them nationwide.
