Abstract
This chapter presents a number of field-based and place-based exercises. These exercises ask students to explore different geographic relationships from countries within regions, to the construction of space and how our cognitive maps are influenced by our experience with and in space. Additionally, students examine images and video data to imagine life in other places and make connections to a number of geographic concepts.
