Abstract
In addition to his role as keynote speaker, Mr. Black will offer a pre-conference workshop on the UNI campus on Thursday, September 21, 3:00-5:00 pm, in the Commons Slife Ballroom. The workshop will discuss the importance of campus - community partnerships and how to create opportunities for students to build capacity for service-learning and community engagement. The importance of comprehensive support for students and the need for building agency to create successful experiences will be addressed. Mr. Black will highlight that communicating IS the work and will share how using imagery and film in telling the story can support culture change for higher education. Registration is required.
