Abstract
Code of Conduct is an excerpt from a young adult memoir that follows the university disciplinary process of reporting a sexual assault. This portion of the memoir is set within Florida Atlantic University’s newspaper organization, images of documents from the case as well as a journalistic tone provides context for the sharp environment the narrator survived. The excerpt begins exploring the process of recovery from trauma which is complicated by the code of conduct case the persona opens against the Sports Editor.
