Abstract
At 6:00 p.m. on March 10, 2017, tenor Blair Remmers and pianist Mr. James Jenkins presented a recital of song literature in Davis Hall at the University of Northern Iowa, in partial fulfillment of the requirements of the Master of Voice Performance degree. For each selection, any relevant historical context will be discussed, followed by any pertinent observations about the relationship between the text and the music. Finally, if there are remarkable musical form or structure details, they will be examined.
