Abstract
It is the purpose of this study (1) to determine the nature and scope of difficulties encountered by beginning teachers who completed the two- year plan at Iowa State Teachers College; (2) to determine in which course of the two-year plan the teachers felt that each difficulty could have been more adequately covered; (3) to obtain opinions of the desirable characteristics of the two-year plan and (4) to derive conclusions , as warranted by the findings , which will serve as a basis for improvement and evaluations of the two-year program at Iowa State Teachers College .
