Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to discuss the creation of modern performing editions of four Classical period wind compositions and their modern performance on a Graduate Conducting recital at the University of Northern Iowa, April 20, 1993. Included in this discussion will be probable circumstances of their premiers, musical attributes of the pieces, and the popularity and types of ensembles used.
