Abstract

A Program of Alto Saxophone Music was performed in the auditorium of the Music Hall May 1, 1972 at 8:15 P.M., University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa. The program consisted of music selected from the Baroque, Romantic, and Contemporary Periods using transcriptions and original compositions for the saxophone. A tape recording of this recital is retained in the office of the music department. The original recording was taped on Ampex equipment in the auditorium recording booth and copied by two Sony 350 tape decks. The tape is recorded on four track stereo at 7½ i.p.s. on track #1 and #3 only.
