Abstract
This study is concerned with photography as a means . of constructing supplemental instruction materials. The study was designed to appeal to the educator who is concerned with vitalizing and extending the educational program of the school. Photography has been generally accepted as a worth-while leisure time activity for society, and recently educators have begun to realize its value as a teaching medium. The terms motion picture and audio-visual education have become almost synonymous. As a result, many of the simpler teaching aids have been neglected and have been relegated to undeserved minor importance. However, the use of the simpler and more specific-purpose type of visual aid has grown in demand in the recent years and the possibilities for the future appears to favor an increase in their use in connection with the pupil's classroom study. The school-made photographic slide is included in this category.
