Abstract

Mark Bjorklund, tenor, presented his graduate voice recital on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 8:00 PM in Davis Hall of the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center on the University of Northern Iowa campus. The recital was given in collaboration with pianist Kirstin Dyer and included selected works from Schwanengesang by Franz Schubert (1797-1828), Winter Words by Benjamin Britten (1913-1976) and the entire set of Cinq Poemes de Baudelaire by Claude Debussy (1862-1918). This abstract discusses musical and historical features of the recital pieces.
