Abstract
My thesis is that a variety of external stimuli both analytical and technical are synthesized in my art. By this process I am then motivated to give form to my paintings through a search for a unique personal experience. My thesis exhibition Under The Canopy Of Heaven consisted of eight mixed media and collage paintings on raw polyester and were a direct result of my observation and manipulation of this synthesis. The approach that motivated these paintings was two fold; one abstract, the principles of Feng Shui, and the other physical, the techniques of mixed media and collage on an unprimed surface.
