Abstract
The purpose of this study is to create a STEM/STEAM working resource for Camp Adventure Child and Youth Services TM (CACYS) in order to provide effective programming for summer day camp programs. Currently, there is a lack of STEM and STEAM resources for CACYS. STEM education is defined by science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education whereas STEAM education includes the integration of art education. This study will use Action Research in order to review and analyze a variety of successful STEM/STEAM programs. Elements from these programs will be incorporated into the resource for CACYS. Effective teaching strategies will also be investigated. The resource will be presented to current and future CACYS.
