The names of 443 individuals are listed in this publication, all faculty members or administrators for whom I found evidence that emeritus status had been conferred, or that they had fulfilled the emeritus eligibility qualifications operating on the university campus at the time of completion of their active professional careers. I make no claim that this is an all-inclusive list. Listings found in catalogs and bulletins are incomplete. There is no source for identifying deceased emeriti. Prior to 1981, institutional policy did not require retiring or resigning faculty or administrators to apply for emeritus status; upon completion of twenty years of service at this institution, individuals were "considered to be emeritus." as a consequence, the names of many qualified individuals were overlooked in preparing lists for publication.
