Abstract
Haiti is considered one of the poorest countries based on the immense lack of resources. Some of the root causing problems are natural disasters, diseases, political instability, and mishandling of funds. Haiti remains an underdeveloped country because of debt, Haiti is currently $5 billion dollars in debt. Haitians undergo oppression due to leaders in higher power keeping them below the poverty line. The goal of this study is to bring awareness to the issues seen today in Haiti regarding poverty and advocate for policy changes to better their health, education, and overall quality of life. Recommendations will be provided with various ways to help the cause, as well as a link to a petition in favor of implementing policy advocacy in Haiti.
