Abstract
This semester I have gotten an opportunity to work as a direct support professional with Comprehensive System Inc. to fulfill my psychology cooperative education. This position allows me to work directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities. My responsibilities are mainly providing support and assistance to individuals in completing their daily activities and work with my co-workers to develop programs that best meet the individuals’ goals. This position gave me the opportunity to apply the psychological concepts that I learned in class as well as acquire additional knowledge that I was not being exposed to in a classroom setting.
