These conference proceedings contain four major papers presented by experts in the field of career guidance theory; with reaction papers written by practitioners. Zytowski; "The Status of Trait-Factor Theory: Holland's Typology as Cases in Point" (Duane Brown); reactions by Stewart T. Coulson and Bernard R. Dansart; "Gender Influences in Career Development: Motivation for Nontraditional Career and Lifestyle Options" (Linda Brooks); reactions by Ronald M. Bartels and John L. Thompson; and "Using Career Theory in Your Work: A Professional Obligation" (Norman C. Gysbers); reactions by David A. Jepsen and Victor E. Pinke. Presenters' papers include bibliographies.
