Abstract

The song cycle Eve-Song was composed in 1996 by Jake Heggie on poetry by Phillip Littell. Eve-Song tells the story of the biblical character Eve, but with a contemporary feminist influence. These three excerpts show Eve's temptation, discontentment, and reminiscence in the Garden of Eden.
