Information about Lecturer

Joyce Milambiling is a Professor in TESOL/Applied Linguistics in the Department of Languages and Literatures. She has a Ph.D. from City University of New York Graduate Center in Linguistics and an M.A. in Scandinavian Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. Areas of specialization are multilingualism, ESL teacher education, and language policy. Recent research in New York City on a collection of letters written by an immigrant to her ESL teacher has led to a multidisciplinary area of study that promises to keep her busy for a long time.
