Information about Lecturer

Heather Jerónimo is an Assistant Professor of Spanish in the Department of Languages & Literatures. She specializes in 20th and 21st-century Spanish literature and lm, with particular focus on topics of gender, sexuality, and non-normative familial relationships. Her presentation will examine the relationship between religion and gender during the Spanish colonization of Equatorial Guinea through an analysis of images in the magazine La Guinea Española produced by Spanish Jesuits living in Equatorial Guinea.
