Description
Back of "Monument to the Elm" sculpture postcard. The description reads ""Monument to the Elm" at the Lutheran Center University of Northern Iowa ,Cedar Falls. In 1974, artist John Faust designed, and, aided by students at UNI, sculptured the 20 ft. figure. The project, a concept of campus pastor John Deines, portrays the tragic Dutch Elm disease destroying millions of Elm trees throughout America in the 1960's and 70's."
