Description
Alt text: The back of a used postcard featuring a one-cent Benjamin Franklin stamp and a postmark from Dewar, Iowa dated 1909. Handwritten message on the left reads: "Dear Aunt Cora: I want you to save me a picture like ma's if you will. I think they are dandy and I don't suppose I'll get to town before they are all gone. How do you like this wind? From your loving niece Gertrude." Additional handwriting near the top reads: "We are going to paper ma's bed room tomorrow. We have all four rooms in the front part of the house cleaned. Ma got some new lace curtains in the parlor and are the color of yours in the sitting room." The card is addressed to Mrs. F. J. Shannon, 903 Independence Avenue, Waterloo, Iowa. A band below the postcard has the text "Palczewski Suffrage Postcard Archive."
