Description

One of the Greatest Suffragettes: The Late Miss Sylvia Pankhurst. Miss Sylvia Pankhurst, who died at Addis Adaba on September 27, aged seventy-nine, was perhaps the best known of the family of militant suffragettes of the 1900's. She was a pioneer in the establishment of the Women's Social and Political Union. She served several terms of imprisonment for her vigorous campaigning.
