Alt text: The back of a used postcard addressed to Mr. Carl B. Smith in Allison, Iowa, featuring a red two-cent George Washington stamp and a postmark from Bristow, Iowa. The handwritten message reads: "Bristow, Iowa, Sept. 7 1918. Dear nephew, how are you and family. I am about the same what day are you going to attend fair. Thought I would be over Wednesday the 11th Bristow day. Would be glad to see you folks." It is signed, "G. G. Smith." The left border reads, "No. 2202, 10 designs, 'I married my wife' comic." A band below the postcard has the text "Palczewski Suffrage Postcard Archive."
