Description
Alt text: The back of a used postcard addressed to Mrs. Brustkern in Laporte City, Iowa, featuring a green one-cent George Washington stamp and a postmark, dated January 9, 1914. The handwritten message on the left reads: "Dear folks, Ma & I are here alone this eve. Will went to the school house to practice his dialogue. Ma and I were to town to-day and we looked at those stoves. They have the monarch just like ours and it will cost you $60. Of course the stoves are higher than they were when we got ours and I suppose you would have to pay about that much out there for one. They have them like ours with legs and he said they sell more." A band below the postcard has the text "Palczewski Suffrage Postcard Archive."
