Alt text: The back of a used postcard with a green one-cent George Washington stamp and a 1909 Littleton, Iowa, postmark. A handwritten message fills the left side: "Littleton Iowa 7/30 1909. Dear Sister, I will write you a few lines. I heard you did not go home as soon as you expected Now you might of come to Littleton and stayed with me a day or two. Uncle Oscar and Aunt Julia are here from Nashua. Well I must get busy. I am about sick with a cold. Was awful sick last night. Bye bye, Mary." It is addressed to Miss Ellen Eck, 52 Edwards St., Waterloo, Iowa. The left border reads, ""Bamforth and Company Publishers, Holmfirth, England, and New York. Printed in England. Serie no. 1077" A band below the postcard has the text "Palczewski Suffrage Postcard Archive."
