Description
The suffragette letter carrier
Alt text: A vintage cartoon postcard titled "The Suffragette Letter Carrier" at the top shows a woman in a postal outfit collecting mail from a mailbox on the corner of a street. She has a dog on a leash and appears to be reading some of the mail she is collecting. A caption below the image reads, "Would you trust your wife as letter carrier? Honest, would you?" The bottom border has the text, "Copyright 1909 by Walter Wellman. Number 4009." An elaborate artist's signature is also shown near the illustration. A band below the postcard has the text "Palczewski Suffrage Postcard Archive."
