The woman has dark hair and is seen in profile, looking to the right. A green one-cent U.S. postage stamp is in the top right corner along with a postmark. A line divides the left side, labeled "This side for correspondence," from the right side, which is labeled "This side for address." A handwritten message on the left side reads, "Hello Mert. How was Mert? Have had some rain the last few days. How do you like Pendleton? How are all the folds?" The right side is addressed to Mr. Merton Shutrum, Lehman Springs, Oregon. A band below the postcard has the text "Palczewski Suffrage Postcard Archive." In three acts.
