A green one cent U.S. postage stamp is affixed in the upper right corner. A circular Newtown, Conn. postmark is partially visible, dated july 12, 1911. The address is written to "Mrs. H.D. Abbott, 402 North Main, Waterbury, Conn." The left side has a handwritten message that reads, "Your letter received. I expect to go back to Bridgeport tomorrow, Wednesday morning. Will the folks stop in B on way back? Hope you can keep cool. Mary." A band below the postcard has the text "Palczewski Suffrage Postcard Archive."
