Abstract
A creel census has been used on West Okoboji Lake annually since 1946. Two creel census methods have been used. Each method and the results obtained are discussed. Fish harvest, harvest rate and angler use has fluctuated between wide limits. For an average year yellow perch, black bullhead, and bluegill are usually the most abundant species captured. The mean harvest rate for 23 years is 1.58 fish per hour.
