Abstract
Let G be a group and {Zn} be the upper central series of G. If Zn = G for some positive integer n and if c is the least such positive integer, we define a chain, {Ki}, of subgroups of G by
(a) Ki = Zc - i + 1 if 1 ≤ i ≤ c,
(b) Ki= {1} if i ≥ c + 1.
We shall call the chain {Ki} the reversed upper central series of G.
