Abstract
This paper presents a general description of a small cyclotron built and used by undergraduates of the Iowa State University Physics Department. This machine was the first operating small cyclotron capable of useful nuclear reactions to be built by an undergraduate group. Specifications of the machine are given. The paper also includes a short review of cyclotron action and a description of some of the auxiliary equipment used in the ISU cyclotron laboratory.
