A Portable Drop-Reaction Kit
Document Type
Research
Abstract
The interest of the authors in compact and portable equipment for general qualitative analysis has led to the development of a kit utilizing modern drop reactions and microchemical techniques. Although the kit was designed for practical and not pedagogical purposes, it finds many uses in the laboratory as well as the field. The entire kit is contained in a fishing tackle box 6x9x14 inches, weighs 9 pounds, comprises 63 reagents, and provides for the testing of 38 different constituents. In addition, vials are provided for 9 extra reagents so that optional tests may be included when desired.
