Abstract
Emmet County lies in the northwestern part of the state bordering on Minnesota and is one of the smallest counties in Iowa, having an area of only 395 square miles. Space will not permit any lengthy description of the physiography and the geological formations of the county. These are fully treated in the report on the Geology of Emmet, Palo Alto and Pocahontas Counties by the Iowa Geological Survey.
