Abstract
In Black Hawk County, Iowa, the rolling prairies of Iowan drift, the valley of the Red Cedar River, varying in its physiographic features from loess bluffs to low sandy flood plains with numerous "lakes" and swamps, remnants of old oxbows, and the valley of the Wapsipinicon River which are favorable to the development of several types of plant associations, present a rich flora.
