Abstract
Observation: Some of the models of the larynx used since the experiments of Johannes Mueller (when observed through the stroboscope) show transverse and alternate vibration. The question arises as to whether this is the mode of vibration of the real vocal cords or whether they rather vibrate synchronously and more in the lateral than in the transverse direction, as was assumed before.
