Abstract
The Cuscuta collection in the Grinnell herbarium has been critically revised with the aid of a new monograph by Freemen George Yuncker. Subsequently, the collection at the State College at Ames was critically reviewed. Grateful acknowledgment is made to those in charge of the herbarium for the privilege. The following paper may then be regarded as a record of the occurrence and distribution of Cuscuta in Iowa. We find eleven species in the state. According to Yuncker, the range of one other species includes the state of Iowa, but so far, no specimen from the state is on record. In the following list, the paper shows Cuscuta in the two herbariums: plants outside of Iowa, specimens from Iowa, species which might be expected in the state and a key to the species.
