Abstract
In an interesting and valuable article on the perennial mycelium of some of the species of Peronosporeae Dr. I. E. Melhus calls attention to the perennial mycelium of the following species: Phytophthora infestans, Phytophthora cactorum, Cystopus candidas, Plasmopara viticola, Plasmopara pygmaea, Plasmopara halstedii, Peronospora dipsaci, Peronospora schachtii, Peronospora alsinearum, Peronospora grisea, Peronospora effusa, Peronospora ficariae, Peronospora parasitica, Peronaspora viciae, Peronospora rumicis. In a review of this paper by the writer, attention was called to the perennial character of Plasmopara viticola in our Vitis vulpina.
