Abstract

The St. Louis Academy of Science, the oldest academy west of the Mississippi, sends greetings to the Iowa Academy, its younger sister. We trust that the Iowa Academy of Science will in the future do as commendable work as it has in the past quarter of a century. We therefore send congratulations and hope that it may fill a large place in the science of this great commonwealth.
