Abstract
Project ASSIST (Alternatives for Schools of the Seventies for Improvement of Science Teaching) is a concept for statewide improvement of science education in Iowa. Science is broadly conceived to include mathematics, physical sciences, biological sciences, behavioral sciences, and social sciences. Cooperation among the various agencies and persons involved with education is central to the Project ASSIST concept.
