Supreme Court Voids "Anti-Evolution" Law

Abstract

The United States Supreme Court has handed down a decision declaring unconstitutional the Arkansas statute prohibiting the teaching of evolution in the state's public schools. The National Science Teachers Association and the National Education Association filed a brief as amici curiae in support of the appellants, Mrs. Susan Epperson and H. H. Blanchard.
