Abstract

The Universe in the Classroom is a newsletter on teaching astronomy sponsored by the Astronomical Society of the Pacific and the American Astronomical Society. The newsletter is written for teachers, librarians, youth group leaders and others interested in conveying the excitement of astronomy to young people. The first issue contains information and a listing of resources for the study of Halley's Comet which in Feb. 1986 will pass close enough to the earth to be observed.
