The Cover: The microscope is a tool that can be used in chemistry, metallurgy, and numerous industrial processes in addition to its more common use in biological science studies. This unusual photomicrograph of conjugating Suctoria was taken by George Magrane, an Ottumwa High School teacher. Mr. Magrane is the Photographic Editor of the JOURNAL.
