Abstract

The Iowa Association of Science Teachers (IAST) was formed in 1907 for "promoting interest in science teaching in secondary schools." This organization functioned for several years as a strong and influential organization with membership in all of the largest secondary schools in the State. Various special reports and newsletters served as the "journal" for this early organization.
