Abstract
Not long ago I came in contact with a young learner named Kelly who was fascinated by Indian artifacts. He had amassed a sizable collection and wanted to find out more about his discoveries--things like how old the items were, what they were used for, and by whom. These and other questions need to be answered, not just for Kelly, but for people of all ages who live in Iowa, for we all have a right to a knowledge of the past.
