Abstract
Assessing the impact of technology on student achievement is not an easy task. It is essential, however, to explore the current uses of technology in educational experiences and the implications for assessment that accompany these uses. Technology offers a variety of opportunities to us in education, and any type of meaningful assessment needs to be congruent with expectations, delivery methods, and learning styles.
Two keys to effective and meaningful assessment are validity and reliability. This simply means that assessments are truly designed to measure intended outcomes and that similar performance results are demonstrated when the assessment is given to subsequent groups of students under similar circumstances.
