Abstract

As we embark on this trip into the world of technology and its impact on education, I find many more questions than answers. The toughest task we have ahead of us is to ask the right questions, listen to the answers, and then try to make the changes the data suggests. Perhaps we have not been asking ourselves how technology should affect the way a teacher presents the material. If technology is to have an impact on education, it must change the way we present information. The only way we will ever assess how technology affects student performance is to better define what we are trying to do with students first and then look at the best way of presenting the information. It is just as important to determine what form of technology can best test for understanding.
